First are a couple of my yellow labs and a female red zebra

One of my aceis

My bumblebee, the boss of the tank. Nobody even tries to mess with him.

Male red zebra finally showing its colors.

My other male.

Pearl zebra, I think. He's been fighting for boss status.

And I'm still not certain what this one is.

These are all fairly small, a couple of the bosses are closing in on 4" but the rest are under 3". They'll be moving to a 75 gallon tank very soon. [/list]

Nice looking fish, I believe the last pic is Pseudotropheus socolofi.

When these guys go to the bigger tank, I'm going to add a few more mbuna to this group, not sure what yet, and I'm going to do a group of ruby red peacocks in this tank.

You may be right. It has been quite aggressive before but the pearl zebra put him in his place one day and it's been pretty docile since then. I thought it was going to end up getting killed when they were fighting though.

I dont think its a socolofi to me it looks like a labidochromis joanjohnsonae. could be wrong though..

Shape of the mouth doesn't match L. joanjohnsonae.

Doesn't really matter. It doesn't bother anyone. My main goal with the tank now is to get these yellow labs and red zebras to breed. I may buy more breeding groups when the new tank is up. Maybe 1m-4f labs and zebras. I may add another species though.

You realize the labs and zebras are prone to crossbreeding right?

I did not know that. That's disappointing.

Good news though, my fish will be moved to a new home sooner than planned. I'm picking up a 75 gallon tank, stand, and canopy for $75 Wednesday morning. After some room rearranging, I'll get it up and running. Then after Christmas and all my overtime I'll start fish shopping. Then after a month or so in the new tank I'll get this one going again in time for some more fish shopping.

If I see my fish mating, I can be sure of the parents, correct?
