Hi,
After dealing with my girlfriend, I got the autoriazation for a 126G 6 feet instead of a 180G. But I will be able to make my reef 45G instead of 30G.
For the new tank, I will build the stand myself and include a 55G sump (48x13x20) with 2 wet dry for a total of 10G of coralife bioballs and 2 mag 7 return pump. Lighting will be my 2x T5-HO in a 14 inch high hood (I take my plans on www.garf.org). I already have a lot of rocks from my 2 previous tanks + 2 koralia powerheads. For the sand, I will try to get something darker than PFS, maybe aragonite. For the background, either black or blue, I am not sure yet.
A second stand beside will contain a 40G (36x13x20) for the water change and a 20G (30x12x12) for the evaporation. In the top part I will place my electrical panel and some storage space.
The goals:
- A lot of colour and movement
- Not too much maintenance
- Noiseless tank
- Cheap to run
The population, with a total water volume of 170G
8x Synodontis multipunctatus
1m/5f Labidochromis caeruleus (Mbowe)
1m/5f Pseudotropheus sp. "acei" (Itungi)
1m/5f Iodotropheus sprengeraes(Makokola Reef) Rusty cichlid
1m/5f Melanochromis cyaneorhabdos (Likoma Island)
1m/5f Pseudotropheus socolofi (Mara Point)
1m/5f Metriaclima sp. dolphin (Ndonga) (giant demasoni)
I wil post pics when I start, maybe in september, I have to finish unpacking and setting the place first.
Any comment suggestions?
