I am planing my new 150gal aquarium for Frontosa's with floating plants. I have in mind to make open aquarium which will have overflow.
What is your oppinion about my idea? Should I be worried that Frontas will jump out?
I know Frontosa is Predator type of fish, so I guess they would not bite and eat floating plants. Am I wrong? Is it worth planing open aquarium with floating plants at all?
On what I have to pay attention when planning open aquarium?
Does anyone done this before - if yes, what experiance do you have?

Frontosa is not known to jump. I guess if you spook them enough, they could if they want to.
But with floating plant, you have a great chance of the fish feeling very safe under the cover. The add on advantage also with floating plant that you will have covered area that your fish will enjoy.
Most floating plants are easy to do. They are on top, nice root system, just make sure you have enough light and food for the plant.
