I see in here that some of you folks are using pvc pipes buried under ocks for hiding places which I think is great. Is there a problem using ABS pipe? I know it is more expensive, but it comes in black whick would belnd in better in my opinion

Other than it requireing a diffrent glue than PVC, its just as inert. They use it for human consumable water as well. _________________ 125gMale peacocks/haps

I was going to use ABS for my UGJ system but couldn't find any in the correct size. I only looked locally and 2" is the smallest i could find. I used RIT dye to make my PVC black...

There are two types of abs pipe: solid core and cell core. I am not sure about the solid core but the cell core definitely floats.
