Lethrinops colors up better in a species tank. Is the tank 72" long? I would try for 3m:9f for the smaller species and 1m:4f for the 13" guys.

Two males rarely results in much besides a harassed and often dead second male. I'd concur with the above advice.

If you switch out the imperial for an Aulonocara, not Jakes... you probably could do the red caps in this situation. Maulana's might be a good choice.

It is a 72 long tank.

So this is a show tank and I think for this setup id like to mix it up but having perhaps the redcap as the overwhelming fish with a few mixed in for contrast may work.

so DJ when you suggest "3m:9f for the smaller species and 1m:4f for the larger guys" that is if I just choose one of them?

No, that would be if you stock the 3 species you specified. 29 fish.
