back from vacation time to stock.

Ok 75 gallon 4ft. tank.
Wanted to get Saulosi but having a hard time finding them.

So thinking of this
Maingano 1/5 ratio
Msobo 1/5 ratio
White top afra hara 1/5
Not sure if this is a good mix or maybe to much blue? What about a forth species?

Thanks

I did not find the hara and another blue barred fish to be a good mix. White labs maybe?

Maingano I would do 1m:7f and reduce the other females to 4.

So Maingano 1/7
Msobo 1/4
Red top zebra 1/4
What about Socolofi albino at 1/4

Msobo are Metriaclima and greshakei are Metriaclima. I'd choose one or the other.

Labeotropheus fuelleborniMarmalade Fuelliborni 1/4
Metriaclima emmiltosRed Top Zebra 1/4
Metriaclima sp. msobo sp. deepMsobo Magunga Cichlid 1/4
Pseudotropheus cyaneorhabdos , Formally MelanochromisMaingano Cichlid 1/7

ugh can't because of the Metriaclima family? I like both those species, what about Cynotilapia Afra Jalo ReefAfra Jalo Reef at a 1/4 ratio instead of the red top zebras?

I found the White Top Hara though small to be very aggressive. I have the Cynotilapia Jalo Reef Afra & they are very nice!
I have had the Metriaclima Greshakei, not the Albino & he was wonderful & wasn't too aggressive either. I have both the Metriaclima callainos sp. Pearl White & Metriaclima callainos sp. Cobalt Blue, with 1 male/1 female White Pearl & a Blue female which can produce Blue's, Whites & OB's (Blue & White). I'm looking forward to getting the OB's! Just a thought because you cane get 3 colors out of the 2 colors?

Okay edited stock list how's this look?
Cynotilapia Afra Jalo ReefAfra Jalo Reef 1/4
Pseudotropheus cyaneorhabdos , Formally MelanochromisMaingano Cichlid 1/7
Metriaclima sp. msobo sp. deepMsobo Magunga Cichlid 1/4
Labeotropheus fuelleborniMarmalade Fuelliborni 1/4

I think I won't have to deal with any cross breeding and colors should be good.

This idea that you can't mix two species of the same genus is very overblown. The biggest hybridization risk is between Metriaclima estherae and Labidochromis caeruleus, fish of different genus, and don't really appear to be closely related. There is some discussion that Cynotilapia might get rolled into Metriaclima, or some sort of consolidation... the only real differences is the teeth. So it's ok to mix M. msobo now, with Cynotilapia, but if they get rolled into a single genus, it will suddenly become taboo? Did someone tell the fish that?

This mix should be fine...

This!
I am starting to take this point of view. Just way to many name changes happening to keep up.I will continue to use as basic guideline but not the "end all be all" of stocking rules. As long as proper male to female ratios are maintained it should make crossbreeding non existent.

From looking at the two fish they are so different I wouldn't think it would be an issue.
