55 gallon stocking question

Postby Brett99 » Sat Mar 11, 2017 12:14 pm

I currently have Yellow labs (1M 3F) and Cyno. Afra Nhkata Bay (1M 4F) in my 55G tank. Also 2 BN plecos.

Looking to add another species to bring some new color to the tank. I was thinking red zebras but was curious if they might be too big/aggressive for this setup. Any thoughts or experiences? Also open to other species suggestions.

Many thanks for the help and advice.

I would not add red zebras with yellow labs as they crossbreed. What about Albino socolofi? Or rusties?

I've thought about rusties but they would camoflage to the background I designed too much ha.

Albino socolofi is a cool suggestion. How's there temperament with the two other species I have?

They are on the aggressive side, but will work with yellow labs and Cynotilapia.

Any ideas where I can find them? My LFS does not carry.

I see <vendor name removed> has, but for small order, $85 is a lot.

True, shipping works better when ordering a lot of fish, or doing a group other with others. There will be an auction with group-order-like options on April 2 in Union, New Jersey if you feel like a drive.
