Hey,

I currently have a 30" T8 fixture with a single, Floramax light bulb. I have a cryptocoryne and crinium in a 29 gallon. The crypt is doing well but I have not seen any new growth from the crinium. The water pH is 7.8-8, lights are on for 10 hours a day and I treat weekly with Flourish Comp. I know that crinium are generally slow growers but its been about 3 months and I haven't seen any growth that I can tell. Should I change the bulb to a 6500k T8 or should I get a new fixture (Odyssea T5)? In the future I want to get some Vallisneria as well. Would these do well in 6500K lighting? Thx

The Odyssea is cheap in both cost and quality. I had one which worked well, but I couldn't avoid breaking the clips which hold the bulbs. I've had good success growing crypts, anubias and Java fern with Finnex LED fixtures and use them on all of my tanks.
