I can't seem to find the anwser to this any where so I'm going to try here After I start the siphon by turning the water on and I have it siphoning water is it ok to turn the water off. Just seems like a lot of wasted water to me.

Yes but it will drain really slow. I do it all the time.

Is there a way to prevent water being wasted out of The
Faucet with these things? And with the reduced flow is it

I turn my water off and it sucks debris and everything else up just fine. 50% of the water in my 180 takes about 15-20 mins tops.

Yes, you can turn the water off once it starts the siphon, speed will depend on the height of the water vs the height of the drain. It should still be enough to vacuum up debris but it may take some time if your tank isn't much higher than the drain.

Yep, about the same. I have a very long run (about 90') but once it's started it does just fine. The little xtra time is worth the cost of the water saved. "T"
