Crenicichla sp belly crawler
Picked up this crenicichla last week which appears to be a belly crawler but it's never on the substrate skipping around. It was labeled pike cichled and is about 2.5" long. Is the typical belly crawler behavior something the grow into or am I missing something on the id? Here is a low grade picture http://s1051.photobucket.com/albums/s42 ... 000086.jpg

It is definately a belly crawler. Mine usually stayed on the bottom, but I got it as an adult. It may just be up and looking for food.

Thanks for the confirmation. Visually I saw nothing to think otherwise think it behaviorally(its namesake) it seemed off. Can't wait for it to get bigger, I've had it a week and it's already filling out.
