What type of Cichlid is this

Postby boehmsj18 » Sun Apr 09, 2017 11:41 am

Can anyone tell me what type of Cichlid this is? I was told it is a convict, but the fin pattern and mouth don't fit with my other convicts. http://i.imgur.com/POrCZc3.jpg

Red Hump, 'Geophagus' steindachneri. The quotes are to indicate that it probably doesn't belong in the genus Geophagus.

I think he will be fine. Red Humps are one of the most aggressive Eartheaters, and one of the smaller species, so they should fit nicely with some male cons.
