Unidentified Cichlids • HELP ID BABIES???

I am not sure if you can really id them at such a young age ( 2 months) but i figured if anyone could it would be the experts on here. I believe they are from lake malawi but i got the babies from a community tank so no help there.



if you have any ideas i am up for that

I forgot to mention that they are starting to shimmer some blue and the mom spit 30 to 40 babies

thank you and again if you guys have any ideas on what they are or some questions i can answer to help id them tell me because i have no idea haha

Those are still very young to make any positive ID, but if I were to take a guess it would be Sceianochromis fryeri. Most very young haps and peacocks look too similar to tell apart until they start to develop some of their characteristic markings.

Scieanochromis fryeri, or hybrids of is as good a guess as possible for now. Why not post pictures of the parents?

i am not sure who the father is but i will try to get a picture of the mother up soon and thanks guys for the guesses it at least gives me a starting place

Send them to get a DNA test on the Maury Povich Show. That way you can find out who the baby daddy is.
