Opthomaltalipia Ventralis with Xenotilapia flavipinnis.

Postby T-Royale » Tue Apr 11, 2017 11:21 am

Does anyone have any experience with keeping the two together. I am planning a 6' 135g setup. I plan to have 30 F1 2"-3+" Jumbo Mpimbwe Azuri, 10 WC Xenotilapia Flavipinnis Kekese, and 8 F1 2-2.5"Ophthalmotilapia ventralis Zongwe. My major concern is will the O. Ventralis be to aggressive for the Xeno to breed or just completely stress them out. I was hoping that the Xenotilapia could hold their own considering they are larger and are wild caught as well. Any experience with this mix or suggestions?

I was advised to give Ventralis the whole bottom of a 72" tank.

Thanks for the reply. I imagine its related to the males boisterous nature.
