Too big to add to my tank?

Postby brit_abroad » Mon Feb 13, 2017 4:35 pm

I have a 90g tank with 20 Trophus Kachese in it. They are about 2 years old and many are showing their adult coloring. There are a couple of bigger, more dominant fish but so far no real aggression problems. My big problem is the tank itself. I bought it second hand and it was already scratched and has gained more over the years. While the Trophus keep the algae down everywhere else, I keep getting lots of growth on the glass itself. I have two adult (about 6") Synodontis eupterus in another tank and was thinking about adding one to take care of this problem. So my question is, would this fish to be too big to put in this tank with this group of fish?

Not too big...but does he eat algae? I've never seen a Synodontis make a dent in algae.

I wondered about that but my other tank, which is in a sunnier spot, never seems to get much algae (different food maybe?)

What would you suggest then?
