Check the Retailer Reviews and post a Want Ad in the Cichlid-forum Classifieds.

Best place to get an established colony that is already producing fry (they don't necessarily pair) is likely going to be a fish club auction or another hobbyist. How close are you to Chicago...they have a great club.

I'm about 4 hours away from Chicago. I used to have a 125 gallon with multies I loved it there were so many of them I couldn't count they jut kept breeding and unfortunately I had to move and couldn't bring my fish room with me I had over 60 tanks and had to sell them all and I regret it everyday. Luckily I have time and room for tanks again and I feel like multies are the ones I miss the most and best way to get back into the hobby.

You could call some lfs that are a little bit further away and then see if they have some. Otherwise there is Rachel O'leary at who will have some available soon.
