So I currently have a 200L tank with plenty of rocks covering the base with 6 shellies and 3 comps as was recommended by the guy in the store. One of the comps looks like it has taken a battering and is currently missing most of his fin and looks exhausted.
He is separated in a fish bag which is sitting in the tank as I didn't want him to get worse,I am really unsure of what to do next as the others are fine and its just this one that is in this state.
I would use a breeder net, or a large fish net instead. If you don't have either, perhaps I would do a 100% water change in the bag before going to bed.
I had placed him in a net over night but unfortunately I found him dead.
I would be tempted to take the other 2 back but I really enjoy the look of them. Now I think it may have been because the other two are M/F and could possibly be paired up so the little male got bullied, should I just leave it at two or is it recommended to get more?
Could you post the dimensions of your tank? After searching your other posts, all I know is that it is 4 foot long.
Also, how big are the two remaining Altolamprologus compressiceps?
